Photo of the Day - August 26th, 2018
Yesterday morning, I headed out to Perth International Airports public viewing platform, getting there shortly after the gates open to the public and spending a few hours hoping for some decent photos of jets taking off and landing. Unfortunately the wind conditions weren't conducive to flights using the strip in front of the viewing area, so most were taking off and landing on the East/West runway (Runway 06/24). As it would turn out, only a single jet would use the main North/South runway where the viewing area is situated, Runway 03/21, and that was only because that particular jet requires a runway a few hundred metres longer than 06/24 in order to take off. As such, the subject for today's Photo of the Day is China Southern Airlines' Airbus A330-300, B-5939, about to take off at Perth International Airport (PER), headed for Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) in China under flight number CZ320.
